CONVENTION REPORT

JANUARY 12-14 RI attended CRUSADES 96, which was held in Darien Conn. The Show's attendance was hurt by inclement weather. However, if you did make it, it was worth the effort. All typical events were held as well as a painting demo by yours truly (editor Jay). The guys at CRUSADES will be happy to know that a historical convert was made.

The trip for RI usually 4ish hours, took 6ish (remember the snow storm). My 18-year-old nephew (we'll call him Eric) attended and during the car ride complained as he read the program, that aside from the MAGIC tournament there would be no other fantasy type games. In a nutshell, he thought the convention would suck.

After walking around, Eric was offered a space in an ACW game. Five hours later he returned to the RI dealer space ranting about how fun it was to play a historical game.

Now I wish he would stop bugging me to teach him DBA!!!!!!!!!!!
