These two reproductions of paintings show the attack upon Marshal Murat during the Battle of Liebertwolkwitz. In the first, Murat looks like a bandit. His escort is stabbing the "noble" Prussian horsemen in the back while the French cavalry flees the field. In the second, a more princely appearing Murat is rescued by an aide intercepting the Prussian from the front. The Marshal doesn't even notice as he directs the larger battle--his troopers appear to be withdrawing in good order. Interestingly, both paintings were done by Prussian artists.
