I have not seen "Lancashire Games" figures before. [They do Early Gennans, Samurai, Renaissance) Persians, Romans, Celts, Medieval, 7YW, Revolutionary (c. 1790), ACW, Colonial & 25mm Fantasy. Coming soon WWII 20mm Japs, Brits and Indians. (cor)] Personally I don't know why any other manufacturer bothers to do a Napoleonic range and I don't nowadays go near the 1815 campaign tho' in "the dark ages" I did Napoleon's Prussian campaign and I still have fun with 25mm Peninsular battles because I like the Portuguese and Spanish. Having bored you with all that I'll get on to the review proper:
DBN1. Dutch Line Infantry. Nicely detailed figure in a good pose. DBN2. Dutch Flanker / Jager. Another good figure. DBN4. Belgian Line lnfantry. cf p. 153 L Uniforme et Les Armes des Soldats du Premier Empire Vol. 2 and p.47 Le Costume et Les Armes des Soldats de tous les temps Vol. 2. Both Casterman - authors L&F Funken. DBN5. Belgian Flank / Jager. Ditto. Well differentiated DBN6. Belgian Infantry command. An officer waving his sword, a standard bearer, and a drummer playing. Neat little figures. And most of their kit was British anyway. Could be painted up as such. DBN9. Nassau Fusilier. Peaks fore and aft on these Nassau figures - Chasseurs a pied. Belge also had them (vide Funken again). DBN10. Nassau Grenadier. Good detail and cleanly cast. DBN12. Nassau command. Officer with sword point down, drummer, and standard bearer. DBN 13. Dutch / Belgian Hussar. Reaching over his horse's head with his sabre long carbine at his right hip butt uppermost. Well animated rider and horse cast together. Can be used for a French hussar. Drawing not to scale.
