No #96 OK, OK, OK, Yes I know, I know stop the cards and letters. I screwed up the numbers last issue--it should have been 96. So, I am skipping it completely and adding an extra issue to the subs of everyone who should have gotten it. Heliograph Let me know what your armies consist of, manufacturer and scale I can accomadate you with reviews. Also, please let me know if you have any colonial period items for sale or trade and I will post it each issue. (Offer good for print subscribers only--RL) This past year has seen a lot of changes in the Heliograph, from your comments I seem to be doing and present stuff the way you want it. Should you want new columns or have ideas for changes, please let me know. Yeah, I know, it's kind of confusing to see the Helio back to the 8 1/2 by 11 format. I would like to keep it the other way but cost seems to be against that so whatever it takes to get you everything I have info wise for you I will do even if the type gets smaller.
I really do not have a backlog of articles, except for a few Andy never printed that will be coming out one per issue for the next four issues. This issue sees the opening of Chris Nelson's Western Movies list, phew! it's long! 300 movies long! While it is by no means comprehensive as the colonial movies list ended up being, it does contain some of the best titles in westerns. So, get your Guernsey Foundry, Essex or Pass of the North cowboys and Indians out for a
shoot-em-up good time. If you get the chance, watch TNT in the afternoons for their western films.
MagWeb
The Heliograph has joined at least ten (now at 20 and climbing--RL) hobby magazines (including MWAN and more as I go to press) and gone on line with Coalition Web (at www.magweb.com). It is an interesting concept we you can access a number hobby magazines. Each magazine has a sample article to read and their table of contents. With a membership to Magweb you can access all their on line magazines ($24.95 for 6 months and $49.95 for a year). I think we have already picked up a new sub or two from the web site.
Actually, if you have access to the web, try searching Yahoo for military miniatures there are some pretty interesting articles, pictures, and other stuff to read and contact people about.
IT'S ALMOST THAT TIME OF THE SUBSCRIPTION YEAR AGAIN FOR MOST OF YOU.
IF YOUR NUMBER ON YOUR LABEL IS 98 AND IT IS HIGHLIGHTED ITS TIME TO RENEW PLEASE
DON'T MISS AN ISSUE.
