The second book of the Giovanni Chronicles, it can be used alone or subsequent to the first story. Set in the Renaissance, this story about retrieving the vampirish versions of the Dead Sea Scrolls is in three acts. While variations are allowed for to a minor degree, the plot is by and large the plot, and by the end of the tale the stage has been set for part III. Details about the era, and playing the usually 20th century game of Vampire in it, are included.
