Can't Seem to Win

I've been playing Volley fire Drawing Contest for years. I never win anything. How about changing the rules? What about modifiers to the chart? - NO NAME OR ADDRESS GIVEN.

OK. I will put 10 copies of any Volley Fire entry into the hat that is received without name or address. That will give you 10 times the chance to win - of course we won't know where to send the prize! Are you the same guy I used to game with in the days of written orders. He never put his units names down saying that he knew which unit got which order - of course each unit always got the best order for the particular situation it found itself in. - DICK BRYANT

ENJOYED HISTORICON

I had a wonderful time at Historicon. Thank You very much for sponsoring Airfield #3 I enjoyed the game and was very surprised to win the gift certificate. MICHAEL TRIBOU AUBURN ME

Thanks to Alan Garbee for putting on the game. The Courier support both Historicon and Cold Wars with continual gaming for all the convention games except Sunday. (I have to have time to buy things!) The Gift Certificates and other prizes are given out to the best player on each side as selected by the vote of his opponents. - DICK BRYANT

NAPOLEONIC RULES COMPARISON: THE BEST TYPE OF ARTICLE

There were a few errors in interpreting the rules being compared in the cover article on Napoleonics, but that is the most valuable type of article you can run and I enjoyed and learned much from it. Thanks -NO NAME

Many of the readers did not like the way it was presented, witness it being the lowest rated article from that issue. Yet the low NIQ indicates a high interest in that type of article. This issue, as you can see, we are running another such article about the new modern rules. Also in the works is one W.W.II Naval Rules and one on W.W.I Aircraft Rules. We obviously have to tighten up our format and presentation, however and are working on it. - DICK BRYANT

ADDRESS FOR REVIRESCO

In the last issue, we sked if anyone had a new address for Reviresco Co. Dave Hornung replied with: 2997 Crosby Blvd., #624; Tumwater WA 98512. The owner is John McEwan and they have an Internet address of Shamrock@Halcyon.com. - Thanks Dave - ED
