PASS OF THE NORTH 25MM 'WILD WEST" SETS

"Cowboy" Jeff Caruso of Pass of the North has been producing American west figures designed by Renee Perez for sometime now. They keep getting better and better. To make the Wild West a little tamer, Jeff has now come up with some wonderful atmosphere sets.

First there is "Five Card Stud" which consists of 4 gamblers (not gambolers, but those may be next) seated at a table. Each figure is unique, with a different hat and clothing. The detail is superb. You can almost see the aces and eights on the one with his back to the door. The set is $15.00.

A second set is a piano with a man playing, again such detail, if you put your ear close enough you are sure to hear the strains of "I'm a good ole rebel." This is $8.00. There is a lot of lead in these two sets and they are not going to break even with mass sales so don't be cheap about coming up with the greenbacks to buy them. After all, you are not going to buy a battalion's worth.

The third new set is a blacksmith and anvil. A hefty guy, ready to be placed under the spreading chestnut tree in you western town.

To round out, the "side dishes" of Jeff's western collection are a bartender, barmaid and banjo player (ready for a duet with the piano). The smith is $3.00 and the individuals are $2.00. Any of you who do the War Between the States in 25mm, might want that banjo player to accompany your J. E. B. Stuart figure.

The more violent side of the west has not been forgotten. The "Pistoleros" are back and better then before. These are 6 gunfighters with sombreros and an assortment of weapons. Two have a single pistol, one is two-gunned, one has pistol and carbine, one shoots shotgun, while the last fires a pistol and throws dynamite. All are crossed with bandoleers, and carrying knives tucked away in belts or boots. This is a great little gang for your border towns.

All of the above are cast in pewter, well formed, no flash, wonderful details, a joy to paint. 25M* on the Barlett Scale. Send $1.00 and a SASE for a catalog to Pass of the North Wargames 1060 Esplanade El Paso TX 79932. To order or chat with Jeff call 915 581-3282 (6-9 Mountain Standard Time). - BOB BEATTIE

* The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurement [BM] System to simplify comparison of figure sizes. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
