DR. CHANDLER WINS
1995 LITERARY AWARD

The International Napoleonic Society has announced that David Chandler's The Campaigns of Napoleon, recently republished by Weidenfeld & Nocolson of London, England is the recipient of their yearly Literary award. The awards states in part that "The Campaigns of Napoleon has proven to be the most durable, authoritative and respected one-volume work on the topic in the English Language. It is not an exaggeration to say that an entire generation of aspiring scholars of Napoleonic history (and wargamers - ED) have enhanced their understanding of the field with Chandler's volume. "

Dave Chandler has been fighting the effects of a stroke that affected the language center of his brain and, I am happy to report, has made a near-miraculous recovery and is working on several books. The Campaigns of Napoleon is avaialable at better book stores worldwide.
