For several years Musket has produced a 25mm American Revolution Range, one of the most extensive. Received for review were American British infantry advancing port arms (AWR02), British light infantry advancing (AWR08), American light infantry advancing (AWR07), Hessian Fusilier advancing (AWR41), American British infantry loading muskets (AWR04),12 pounder gun on British-style carriage (AWR204), limber set (AWR210), and British cavalry with carbines (AWR306). All are historically accurate and the line even has options to change headgear. Figures measure 24L or 25L on the Barrett scale. The castings are pewter with virtually no flash. These figures mix very well with Iron Brigade figures (old Custom Cast line) and to a lesser extend (but still acceptable) with Minifigs. They are extremely out of place next to other "heftier" 25mm lines. I have around 5-6 regiments of American, British, and German troops covering most of the range in my collection and recommend all of the infantry, artillery, and horses. However, the mounted figures are very plain and don't really compare well to other "light" figures much less the bulkier (and usually livelier/more detailed/larger) 25mm lines offered by others. Infantry cost $4 per pack of 2 guns. All are available from Musket Miniatures, P.O. Box 1976, Broomfield CO 80038 or call (303) 439-9336. $2 will get you the latest catalog. - SCOTT HOLDER Back to Table of Contents -- Courier #68 Copyright 1995 by The Courier Publishing Company. |
