Scenario 5: Battalion Level Opposing SidesFrench Under Gen. de Gaulle Germans Under Lt. Col. Dittman SituationFrench attacks against the flank of the German advance have been ordered with little conideration for coordination. Gen. de Gaulle's 4th DCM (Armored division) is to buy time for the French 6th Army to regroup and establish a defensive line to his rear. The town of Montcornet has been chosen as the goal for the attack. As morning breaks on May 17, de Gaulle's force rolls towards elements of the 1st Panzer division. ObjectiveThe French win a crushing victory if they take and hold both Lislet and Montcornet. If either the French or Germans only hold Lislet, it is a draw. The Germans win a crushing victory if they hold both Lislet and Montcornet at the game's conclusion. French OOBGen. de Gaulle, CICElements Of 4 DCM
