The Return of
The Adventurers Pack

by Bill Brierton

A while back I started a serial column The Adventurers Pack. The articles would review new gaming items for fantasy and science fiction. I dropped the ball on this but hope to renew this article wlth some assistance from members. I'm looking for reviews of gaming material from the membership.

The attempt is to review as much gamlng material that I have purchased ower the years but would find myself in debt rather quickly if I purchased every item out there on the market.

I've listed below a rating system in which I hope to use as a guide for any item that I or another member reviews. I would appreciate as much assistance as possble on the article, because I'm sure I'll miss something that's worth the price paid or is better used as bird cage liner.

  • Fire balls, (Excellent) well thought out and worth the price paid. Some minor problems, i.e., packaging, printing, etc.
  • Sharp Sword, (Very Good) useful supplement or the price may be a bit high, and some parts of it are redundant or unnecessary.
  • Minor Heallng, (Good) ok, can be adapted to an existing campaign but could not stand alone. Price could be lower
  • 1st level PC, some useful information with some help.
  • Space Cadet, (bad), this item may end up in a gaming auction after I use whatever I can get out of it.
  • Fried Dragonburger Bits (YUCK).

I decided to use terms that would be gamlng related as all the reviews are about gaming materials I hope to have some available for upcoming issues. But as I stated at the beginnlng, I would like other members to review items that they saw, not just me. My opinion is just one, so there may somebody out there with a difference that could lead to an interesting article.
